Bees and Wasps

Ahh the mighty sting of a bee or wasp, it is certainly not one that we look forward to receiving. While they may be the biggest pollinators for our environment, they certainly are not the most popular for us as humans.

What attracts the swarms of bees and wasps to your community? Large homes provide large spaces for them to nest and hide, especially if it is coupled with open vegetation nearby. Bees and wasps love to build their nest close to where they work. Not so different from humans. Who wants to commute long distances to work?

The best way to keep these stingers away from your home is to check your home often for places that may not be secure. Cracks and holes are excellent places for them to find their way in and start building a home, while taking over your own. It is also important to remember that these aren’t just household pests. Bees and wasps really are important to sustaining our environment. If you are able to find someone to safely remove a hive that is always a better option. Bees and wasps are crucial to any healthy garden and to the environment as a whole. If you see a hive, contact your local pest control company to better assess the situation and to determine what is best.
