Winter Homeless Care Packages

Last week at Bug Busters’ Annual Company Wide Training Meeting, they ended the day making 144 Winter Homeless Care Packages.  The zip locked bag packages contained; gloves, socks, bandaids, chapstick, blanket, toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, nail clippers, hair brush, soap, and more.  The team then donated these 144 winter care kits to The Atlanta Mission.  The corporate social responsibility of this event goes straight to the core fundamentals and mission of the company to give back to the community.

On a single night in 2017, 553,742 people were experiencing homelessness in the United States. For every 10,000 people in the country, 17 were experiencing homelessness. Approximately two- thirds (65%) were staying in emergency shelters or transitional housing programs, and about one- third (35%) were in unsheltered locations.
